The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.

Have you gone to see Moonrise Kingdom yet? It is brilliant. Great acting, great dry humor, and of course Wes Anderson directing makes it completely amazing. I love his movies. The color palates he uses, the agonizing over every small detail, the actors. All fantastic stuff. My favorite Wes film? Hands down The Life Aquatic. Are you finding what you were looking for… out here with me? I hope so. Best line ever. ❤ Moving right along!

This morning I… Drank my large cup of Kona coffee….in bed. I take it with just a splash of almond milk. A truvia if I am feeling fancy. Eventually made it to the kitchen for some breaky. I made organic eggs (over easy) on top of toasted marbled bread. On the side I added some peach salsa I made last night. It’s just the following- 1 ripe peach, 1 large tomato, 2 tbsp of onion, some key lime juice, a bit of sea salt, and cilantro. I squeezed in a vitamin and 32 ounces of water along with it.

We decided to go on a nice family hike after breakfast. We walked for 60 minutes on a nice shady trail. What did we see? Tons of endangered deer. The dogs had a blast. We kept up a pretty good pace. It was super hot and humid even at 10:30 AM. Even managed to jog a bit at the end. Good times. 

For the rest of the day I did some chores, work, and maybe watched some laguna beach. I mean it was on in the background. Don’t ruin my Cabo trip!

Lunch was a Elvis smoothie.

  • 1 scoop of no whey french vanilla egg white protein powder
  • 1 medium frozen banana
  • 2 tbsp of creamy natural peanut butter (you could use 1, but 2 is better).
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1 handful of ice
  • Tastes like a PB milkshake.Yummy!

Snack attack. I made some organic carrot juice in my Vitamix. Filtered water, Carrots, Ginger. Bam. I also noshed on some almonds.

For dinner I had 1/2 cup of lentils. Do you know how super good and amazing lentils are for you? Legit 14 grams of fiber and a ton of protein a serving. This is one “starch” I am gonna roll with. The main course was turkey, avocado, tomato, green pepper, onion, honey mustard lettuce wraps. Simple and yummy.

Tomorrow is weigh in day. I am super stoked. I really hope I make my -2 pound goal. I will do some meditating and stretching before I weigh in to help calm me. I took one extra long walk at around 6:30 tonight. Feeling super strong! Will report back in the morning.
