This week I got different shares. I ended up with a Full Share, and the Salad Daze share. Here is what is in the shares-
Full- 50 dollars. Eggplant, Micro greens, OR sunflower sprouts, romaine lettuce, blueberrries, strawberries, yams, baby heirloom tomatoes, broccoli, avocado, collard greens, cara cara pink navels, navels, fuji apples, bananas, crimini mushrooms.
Salad Daze- 10 dollars. Micro greens, avocado, romaine, baby heirloom tomatoes.
I would give this share 7/10 😉
We did a really good job with eating almost all of our produce from last week. We only had a few things left over! Excited for this new box of goodies!
I would give this loot a 7.5 out of 10. 🙂 Eat on!
Today was organic share day! I decided last week to up my order and get a few extra boxes added. I ended up getting a mini share for 22 dollars, a snack pack attack box for 10 dollars, a staples box for 10 dollars, and a lb of spinach on top of my juicers share. Holy produce. Organic- 1 lb spinach, 2 zucchini, 2 bunches of kale, 1 bunch of rainbow chard, celery hearts, 2 mini bok choys.
I am semi overwhelmed by all of this, but I have a plan of attack. Eat all the things that will perish quickly first. Aka chard, greens etc. I will work this produce into every single meal. Total cost of all this was 72 dollars. I am super happy with that! It’s a lot of produce! Organic goodness. If we can’t eat it all, I will scale back and drop a few extra add on boxes. Wish me luck!!
I picked up box number 3 of my juicing share yesterday. I had to go to a new location. It was kind of annoying to get there! I chose a different location for next time! Here is what I got this week for 25 bucks.
2 large organic beets.
1 bag of organic fuji apples.
1 large bulk of organic celery.
1 box of organic baby spinach.
1 bunch of kale.
1 bunch of red chard.
A ton of fat carrots.
I would give this box a 7/10.
It’s a beautiful day here in the Florida Keys. The temperature is over 80, and the sky is bright blue. I guess this is why we pay such high rent and deal with tourists. You absolutely cannot beat this weather!
I woke up feeling pretty good. I had a nice hot cup of coconut chai tea and started with breakfast. Mini joseph pita topped with eggwhites, 1/2 organic egg, garlic, curry, greek oregano omelet. Topped with avocado verde, grape tomatoes, and sriracha hot sauce. 196 calories, 10 carbs, 5 grams of fat, 27 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber.
I slipped in a super sweaty workout at around 11. 30 minutes of different elliptical intervals. I worked my way up to level 17. SHEW.
After I showered I decided to start prepping for lunch and snack. I made myself a recovery smoothie also. Post workout fuel- triple berry smoothie. 1/4 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1 scoop strawberry protein, 1/2 cup almond milk. Chia seeds on top.
Now when lunch and snack-time roll around, I have no excuses. It’s all ready to go!
I will catch you guys later at dinner! Have a great productive day.
- 1 english cucumber
- 4 stalks of celery
- 1 green pear
- 1 apple
- 2 kiwi
- 1 bunch of romaine
- 1 tbsp key lime juice
Wash all veggies and fruit. Add to juicer. If using a blender, chop veggies and fruit up into smaller pieces. I leave on all of the skins. Blend well. It helps if you have a nicer blender. I have my almighty Vitamix. After blending, strain the pulp through a nutmilk bag or strainer. Enjoy!!
It has a very light and crisp taste. Nothing overwhelming. A great little green juice!
